Registered Arts therapist

U.S. Got People is searching for a dedicated professional for work as a Registered Arts Therapist, as a contractor position in the Camp Lejeune, Jacksonville, NC.

Education Qualifications:

• Degree: Master’s Degree.
• Education: Graduate from an Art Therapy program accredited by the American Art Therapy Association (AATA).

Experience and Other Qualifications:

• Experience: One year of experience as a Registered Art Therapist after graduation.
• Certification: Current certification as a Registered Art Therapist from the Art Therapy Credentials Board (ATCB).

Job duties may include but are not limited to:

• Organize groups according to the patients’ capabilities, needs, and interest.
• Be familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field of art therapy.
• Analyze data to determine effectiveness of treatments or therapy approaches.
• Analyze or synthesize client data to draw conclusions or make recommendations for art therapy.
• Assess client needs or disorders, using drawing, painting, sculpting, or other artistic processes.
• Conduct art therapy sessions providing guided self-expression experiences to help clients recover from or cope with cognitive, emotional, or physical impairments.
• Confer with other professionals on client’s treatment team to develop, coordinate, or integrate treatment plans.
