Description:
Under general supervision, the Engineer I will perform assignments requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering principles. This includes learning chemical processes and what happens in those processes. They are typically responsible for learning a small process area or multiple pieces of simple equipment. This position is responsible for the operations, metrics, governmental, environmental and contractual requirements of the operation they have been assigned. Conducts day-to-day surveillance of operations, running Engineering Applications and conducting performance analysis, benchmarking and evaluation. Participates in risk assessments, forecasts and plans medium term needs to meet operational requirements, and responds to operational changes and needs. Participates in the creation of Approval for Expenditure (AFE) and studies to solve recurring problems. Prepares reports and participates in the knowledge management processes. A Bachelors degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering is required and 2 or more years of engineering experience.
