U.S. Got People, an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer, is seeking to hire Nutrition Department Workers for the Madigan Army Medical Center kitchen, dining facility and cafes. These positions provide great pay with benefits.

Job Duties:

  • Prepare, assemble, cover, and label cold food items such as sandwiches, salads, pastries, desserts, drinks (such as tea or lemonade), and fruit according to the daily preparation schedule, task list, or food service production schedule.
  • Assist with set up/stock serving areas and self-service areas with paper goods, cups, silverware, napkins, condiments, take-out bags and other designated customer items.
  • Serve cooked menu items and cold bulk food items with proper size utensils, according to the serving size indicated by the production sheet and/or immediate supervisor..
  • Replenish all cold and hot food items, individual self-service food items, packaged commercial foods and snacks.
  • Retrieve cooked foods from the main kitchen and transport to the Grab N Go or other serving area for restocking, refilling service areas, as indicated by food production schedule, usage in service area and/or supervisor direction. Transport of food items requires pushing a heavy, covered, wheeled cart from the main kitchen area to remote feeding sites at a nearby building.
  • Clean and sanitize dish washing area counters, mop floors.
  • Wash service and transport carts, according to regular cleaning schedule.
  • Stores clean food service pots and pans, cooking equipment, and other serving utensils in the proper areas.
  • May work on the cash register during employee shortages or during peak hours.
  • Using recipes or instructions from packages, prepares nourishment/snacks and special beverages, or other foods required by regular and therapeutic/modified consistency diets

Qualifications

All personnel must:

  • 1 year of experience as a Food Service Worker in a fast food restaurant, cafeteria or food concessions setting
  • United States citizen
  • Ability to read, write and speak English
  • Must be flexible to work rotating shift, including overnight hours
  • Must have a clean criminal background
